A full circle moment occurred when Roberta reconnected with an old friend, Antoinette, a palliative care nurse who received a scholarship from the Center of Hospice Care

This year marks a significant milestone for the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU) as it celebrates 25 years of impactful work in advancing palliative care for all in Uganda.

Dr. Angella Namatovu currently serves as the capacity building officer at PCAU.

In February, former CHC staff and current volunteer, Roberta Spencer, visited the team at PCAU. During her time with PCAU, Roberta had busy days working to advance the goals of PCAU.

On May 26, the Palliative Care Association of Uganda (PCAU) hosted its 24th Annual General Meeting to review PCAU’s 2022 performance report and an overall update on palliative care development in Uganda.

PCAU now has their new Toyota Land Cruiser – a sturdy, reliable vehicle, and PCAU is confident it will enable them to fulfill the organization's mandate to make palliative care available to all in Uganda.
