Building Uganda’s Capacity for Compassionate Care

As the umbrella organization for hospice and palliative care providers as well as stakeholders in Uganda, PCAU has a broad range of individual and organizational members. They provide leadership and coordination of civil society efforts involved with the integration of palliative care in the country’s health care system through their collaborative work with the Ministry of Health.

One of PCAU’s areas of focus in this area is educating and supporting those who provide hospice and palliative care for people in need. Their initiatives involving healthcare workers and palliative care providers include a number of activities, many of which are supported directly or indirectly by PCAU’s partnership with Center for Hospice Care.
